BLACKPINK's Jisoo Returns With Mysterious New Single 'CLICK' After 11-Month Break
BLACKPINK's Jisoo is ending an 11-month solo hiatus with a brand-new single called 'CLICK', set to drop on September 4. Teasers released by her label BLISSOO hint at something unexpected: horror-inflected visuals featuring an eerie amusement park, strange character dolls, and pink heart symbols that leave the song's actual mood wide open.

BLACKPINK's Jisoo is coming back, and the teaser alone has already set fan communities buzzing. Her label BLISSOO confirmed on the 25th that the singer will release a new solo single called CLICK on September 4 at 1 p.m. KST, marking her first solo music in 11 months.

The last time Jisoo dropped something new was in October last year, when she teamed up with former One Direction member Zayn on the collaborative single Eyes Closed. That track earned her a spot on the Billboard Hot 100, a meaningful milestone for any K-pop soloist, and cemented her standing as a genuine global act rather than simply a group member doing a side project.

What the teasers are telling us
If Eyes Closed leaned into a lush pop romanticism, CLICK seems to be signaling something stranger. The teaser poster and video clip released on the 24th pair pink heart symbols with imagery that reads closer to a fairground nightmare: a mysterious amusement park, oddly unsettling character dolls, and a visual atmosphere that sits somewhere between cute and genuinely creepy. It's an intriguing contrast, and the kind of art direction that suggests Jisoo and her team are deliberately resisting expectations.
BLISSOO has said further details about the single will be announced in stages, so the full picture, producers, concept, accompanying visuals, is still to come.
A decade in, going solo strong
Jisoo debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016, and the group is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Her solo chapter began in earnest in February last year with her first mini-album AMORTAGE, which topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 45 regions and sent its title track earthquake to number one on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. The Eyes Closed collaboration with Zayn followed later that year, broadening her audience further.
CLICK arrives as her third significant solo release, and given the trajectory so far, there's plenty of reason to pay attention to what September 4 actually sounds like.
