BLACKPINK Fans Are Demanding Rosé Return to Korea as the Group's 10th Anniversary Approaches

The paparazzi photos, first reported by US-based Korean entertainment outlet Koreaboo, show Rosé leaving The Bird Streets Club in Hollywood, a private, membership-only lounge popular with celebrities and international figures. The venue itself is unremarkable tabloid fodder. The timing is the problem.

Fans were quick to clock the date gap. Comments across social media ranged from genuinely frustrated to openly hostile: "Please go back to Korea," "Are you joking?" and "This feels like you don't care about us" were among the recurring sentiments, with many bringing up the group's 9th anniversary last year, when a packed touring schedule meant no proper fan event happened then either.

The specific complaint isn't about Rosé being in LA. It's about where all four members will be on August 8th, and whether they'll be there together. "Are the members going to be apart on the actual day?" one fan wrote, and that question seems to be the real wound.

YG Entertainment has been doing what it can on the merchandise side. The label recently announced 10th anniversary commemorative goods produced in collaboration with Muyts, the retail brand of the National Museum of Korea, traditional-themed items designed for the occasion, plus a 10th anniversary badge for Weverse subscribers. Goodwill gesture, sure. But what fans actually want is a live broadcast or an in-person event with all four members present.

Whether that happens is genuinely unclear. BLACKPINK renewed their group contract with YG in 2023, keeping the band intact for future activities. Their individual contracts, however, were not extended with YG, each member now manages solo work through a separate company. That split structure makes coordinating a unified anniversary event more complicated than it sounds, though not impossible.

The next few days will tell fans what the 10th anniversary actually looks like. Merch drops and badges are something. All four members on camera at the same time would be something else entirely.
