Fable Company says it will go after anyone who writes, reposts or spreads a viral claim that Choi Woo-shik bullied a flight attendant. The agency's statement on the 6th calls the story a malicious falsehood and says it is already collecting evidence.

The post appeared on Threads from someone claiming to be a flight attendant. They said they had not realized who the passenger was, greeted him and went to take his order, and he snapped at the manager beside him with something like "hey, what are you doing, she's talking to me." Only afterward, the poster claimed, did they see it was Choi Woo-shik.

It spread fast. It was also unverifiable, and netizens split on whether to believe it.

Where the story started to wobble

One commenter picked at a detail: Choi is a Korean-Canadian actor, so, the argument went, his name would be unlikely to appear as "Choi Woo-shik" on a passenger list. That's one netizen's reasoning, not a finding, and the agency did not cite it. Still, it was the kind of crack that gets a viral confession questioned quickly.

What the agency says it will do

Fable Company said the posting of false content, and its malicious distortion or amplification into rumor, is "a clear illegal act that seriously infringes on the actor's honor and rights." It is monitoring the posts and their spread, it said, and will take legal action.

The warning is broad. It covers not just the original author but anyone who reproduces or spreads the claim. That is a notable line for a story that mostly lived on resharing.

The agency also extended the same policy to every actor on its roster, naming false information, malicious slander and defamation. It closed by asking the public to stop spreading the claim and promising to keep working to protect its actors' rights.

No legal filing has been reported yet. For now it is an anonymous post, a flat denial and a threat with a wide net.

End of story. The OMONAR Desk.
