BTS's V Shows Jin's Self-Caught Sashimi and RM's Frog Stretches in 21-Minute LA Vlog
V's new "3 Days in LA" vlog follows him from a Spanish lesson to SoFi Stadium soundcheck. Along the way: Jin's self-caught sashimi, RM's frog stretches and a surprise early birthday for RM.

In V's new 21-minute vlog, Jin caught the sashimi the members eat before their SoFi Stadium show himself, and RM limbers up with elaborate frog-pose stretches while V brushes his teeth in the background. Those small backstage beats are the heart of "3 Days in LA," a selfie-camera mini-documentary posted to the Bangtan TV YouTube channel and filmed last month before BTS's shows in Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old singer opens by checking that he knows his phone camera's settings, then heads to a family dinner with the other members and their crew. Over plates shared at a gourmet restaurant, the table gets into the merits of digital versus film cameras, and V keeps adjusting his angles.
A mansion big enough to get lost in
Back at the group's rented L.A. mansion, V shows off an outdoor seating area with a giant fountain and classical columned railings. Inside, the house tour moves from a cavernous all-white living room to an ornate indoor pool, and V admits the place is so huge he sometimes loses his way.
The quieter moment comes under the L.A. moon, where V works through Spanish lessons. "I'll try my best to be able to talk to you all," he says in halting Spanish, and later adds that he is happy to understand more and more. It reads like practice for the Latin American leg of the ARIRANG world tour, and gentle piano jazz plays underneath.
He also plays a snippet of what he calls his favorite Latin song, "Sabor a Mí," a standard recorded by artists from Luis Miguel to EXO and Los Lobos. He wishes viewers good night in Spanish, naturally, and goes to bed.
Soundcheck, sashimi and a surprise
The next morning starts with a hearty breakfast, then table tennis and billiards in the game room before the trip to SoFi Stadium. At soundcheck, RM, Suga, Jin, j-hope, Jimin and Jung Kook check in on camera and walk onto the stage for the Sept. 5 show. A handful of lucky ARMY members in attendance greet them with shouts as each member takes a turn on the mic, and then everyone retreats to the green room.
V sets up the camera with no fuss to catch the members eating that sashimi, with jokes about Jin's catch. After changing into his stage costume, he films the group selfie that comes just before they walk out for the sold-out show.
The vlog closes back at the house as the members wind down and fit in some self-care ahead of the Sept. 6 SoFi show. It ends with a surprise early birthday celebration for RM and some shooting around on an indoor basketball court.
What's next on the tour
BTS takes the stage on Friday (Oct. 16) for the second of three shows at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, Chile, ahead of the first of three shows in Argentina. The group wraps the Latin American portion of the tour with live viewings of its Argentina and Brazil shows on Oct. 25 and Oct. 30, respectively.
