Kian84's Netflix Guesthouse Returns Stranger Than Ever With Kim Yeon-koung and Kazuha

Director Lee So-min has a clear message about Crazy Kian Inn Season 2: "Kian84 has created a second location that is even more bizarre than the first." The Netflix variety show returns on September 22, trading its original Ulleungdo island setting for a mountain guesthouse deep in the hills of Daegwallyeong in Gangwon Province, and the premise only gets stranger from there.

The format is a guesthouse variety show, a genre that has gained real traction on Korean streaming, where celebrities run an actual inn and interact with paying guests. Season one, which first aired last year, built its appeal around Kian84, the webtoon artist and I Live Alone regular whose instinct for off-beat design extended to the physical layout of the inn itself. The same instinct is at work in season two: pre-release stills show Kian84 suspended from something in the building's interior, a recurring gag that apparently carries over from the first season, suggesting the architecture remains as unconventional as ever.

A new crew, clearly defined roles

The supporting cast is new and notably varied. Kim Yeon-koung, the former South Korean national volleyball team captain who is one of the country's most recognized athletes, takes on cleaning duties and the unofficial role of mood-setter. Lee Jun-ho, the actor and former 2PM member, handles both cooking and general cleaning, described in production materials as the resident all-rounder. Kazuha, a Japanese-born member of LE SSERAFIM, joins as the youngest on staff: hardworking and, according to the show's own framing, reliably sharp when she has something to say.

Stills released ahead of the premiere cover episodes one through four and capture the mix of effort and absurdity the show trades on. Kim Yeon-koung and Kazuha are photographed sitting on a stack of oversized ramen boxes; a separate sequence shows the crew tackling a genuinely laborious cleaning job involving a large mat heavy with dust. Lee Jun-ho and Kazuha are also seen at what the show calls the Kian Inn Karaoke Room, singing with guests during what the production describes as a winter evening scene.

Lee So-min's full statement to press frames the central question of the season plainly: whether Kian84, now a second-time innkeeper, can run a more stable operation than he managed the first time around. Given the setting and the cast, stable seems optimistic. Crazy Kian Inn Season 2 begins streaming globally on Netflix on September 22.
