Kazuha of LE SSERAFIM showed up to webtoon artist and broadcaster Gian84's home with a roll of toilet paper as a gift and left having had her toenails clipped by the host himself. The September 17th episode of his YouTube channel Insengs84, titled "New Employee Kazuha," is exactly as chaotic and oddly wholesome as that sentence suggests.

Kazuha is the third guest to visit Gian84's home on the show, following Chef Lee Ha-seong and comedian Jang Do-yeon. The connection between the two goes back further than the channel: they spent time together on the Netflix variety show Daehwanjang Gianjang Season 2, living and eating together through what both described as a genuinely grueling shoot. With Kazuha's world tour approaching and an extended stretch abroad ahead of her, Gian84 said he wanted to cook her a proper home meal before she left, framing the invitation with the warmth of an older brother looking out for a younger sibling.

Getting acquainted, burned food and all

The episode started with a small confession that set the tone perfectly. When Gian84 asked Kazuha what she thought he did for a living when they first filmed a Shorts together three years ago, she answered without hesitation: "A comedian." She followed it up by explaining that, as someone from Japan, she hadn't been very familiar with Korean celebrities at the time. The self-awareness landed well.

Before cooking got underway, things briefly stopped when a familiar sound came from Kazuha's phone: audio from one of Gian84's old cooking videos. She had been watching them in the car on the way over. Gian84 immediately called her out for doing homework because she didn't trust his skills. Kazuha's defense was both quick and genuinely funny: she insisted she had eaten everything he cooked during Daehwanjang Gianjang, burned bits included, every last scrap. Gian84 confirmed it, noting he had assumed she would be picky as an idol but was pleasantly surprised. She simply shot back, "That's how hard things were."

The menu for the evening was grilled samgyeopsal and a homemade green chili pickle. Kazuha volunteered to help with rice-washing and onion prep, but Gian84's kitchen comes with its own survival logic. When she went looking for hand soap, he suggested she just use dish detergent instead. A beat of stunned silence followed. Her onion-cutting technique lasted only slightly longer before she was firmly sent to sit quietly in another part of the room.

The toenail moment nobody saw coming

The real highlight arrived after the food was eaten, during what the show framed as a care session while the rice finished. Gian84 offered, out of nowhere, to clip her fingernails or toenails. What made the moment work was Kazuha's complete lack of hesitation: she admitted her toenails had actually been getting a bit long lately and accepted without a second thought.

Gian84 examined her feet with genuine focus, declared her toenails dangerously close to destroying her socks, and went to fetch a nail clipper. He mentioned he had once filed down the heels of another guest, Kwon Eun-bi, as though this were simply a service he occasionally provides. Kazuha extended both feet without comment.

The actual clipping produced the best reaction of the episode. Gian84 stopped, visibly startled, and announced that her toenails were substantially thicker than his own. Kazuha, slightly embarrassed, explained she had a pedicure done. When she asked afterward whether this was something he normally does for guests, he said it was actually his first time. Her response: "That's quite brave of you," delivered in a tone somewhere between appreciation and resignation, which brought the whole segment to a perfect close.

It is the kind of moment that only lands when nobody is performing for the camera, and both Gian84 and Kazuha seemed genuinely unbothered by the absurdity of the situation. For an idol with the kind of polished stage presence Kazuha brings to LE SSERAFIM's performances, the contrast is exactly what makes it so watchable.
