izna Credits Fandom naya for Japan Debut as Handle With Care Drops Today
izna has officially debuted in Japan with the release of their first Japanese mini-album, Handle With Care, on September 2. The five-track project includes the title track DUMB HOT! alongside Japanese-language versions of earlier hits, with a local showcase already scheduled for September 6.

izna stepped into the Japanese market on September 2 with the release of their debut Japanese mini-album, Handle With Care, available now across major streaming platforms. The WakeOne girl group, formed through the Mnet survival show I-Land 2: N/a, called the release a direct result of their fanbase: "The Japan debut is all thanks to naya," the group said in a statement through their agency.
What's on the album
The title came from a laundry care label, and the concept behind it is straightforward: the album carries a message about treating yourself with the same care you'd give something fragile. That framing suits a group still in its first year of activity, building an identity around sincerity rather than spectacle.
Handle With Care runs five tracks. The title song, DUMB HOT!, is new material built around what the group described as a "cool, confident" energy. A second new track, HEADACHE, joins it, while the remaining three slots go to Japanese-language versions of previously released songs: izna, Sign, and Mamma Mia. The DUMB HOT! music video went live on izna's official YouTube channel at 7 p.m. KST on the same day.
What comes next
izna's Japan rollout does not stop at a streaming drop. A local debut showcase is set for September 6, and the group has a fuller promotional schedule lined up: a collaboration café with Tower Records, appearances at major festivals, and radio slots across the country.
The early indicator to watch here is the showcase. A sold-out or oversubscribed event inside the first week would confirm that naya's Japanese contingent is large enough to anchor a sustained market push, not just a one-off release. WakeOne has shown it can move fast when early returns are strong, and a dedicated Japan promo calendar this early in izna's career suggests the agency already likes what it sees.
