Kim Garam makes her acting debut push with new agency and profile shoot
Kim Garam, who departed LE SSERAFIM in 2022, has released new actor profile photos through her agency Management Koo. The move signals her formal push into acting after years out of the public eye.

Kim Garam released new actor profile photos on the 10th through her agency Management Koo, marking the most concrete step yet in her transition from K-pop idol to actress. The release follows a period of deliberate, largely private preparation since her departure from LE SSERAFIM in 2022.
Management Koo, which signed Kim Garam to an exclusive contract in June, said she has spent that time training across several disciplines: acting, foreign languages, and physical conditioning. The agency framed the profile shoot as an introduction rather than a full debut, a common industry move that lets a new signing establish a visual identity before projects are confirmed.
"Kim Garam has been working tirelessly to show the public a new side of herself," the agency said in a statement. "Through this profile, we wanted to show her diverse charms and potential as an actress. We will spare no effort in supporting her so she can continue to grow through good projects."
The agency added that she is currently reviewing potential projects and will meet audiences through various works and content going forward.
Kim Garam debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 but left the group shortly after amid allegations of school bullying. That departure, which came just weeks into one of the year's most anticipated K-pop debuts, drew significant attention at the time. She has largely stayed out of the public eye since.
Acting is a well-worn path for idols navigating a second chapter, though transitioning from a controversy-linked departure carries its own set of challenges. Whether the industry and the public extend that opportunity to Kim Garam will depend on the projects Management Koo is able to secure and how she is received when she does appear on screen.
