'We Have Everything': Kim Joon-ho and Kim Ji-min Announce First Pregnancy at 12 Weeks

Comedian couple Kim Joon-ho (50) and Kim Ji-min (42) are expecting their first child, their agency JDB Entertainment confirmed on July 30. Kim Ji-min is currently 12 weeks pregnant, with the baby due in early 2027, just over a year after the two married at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, on July 13, 2025.

Kim Ji-min broke the news herself through a social media post that included a pregnancy test and ultrasound photos. "Last year we became forever two," she wrote, "and this year we became the three we always dreamed of." The post quickly circulated among fans who had been following the couple's journey closely.

What made the announcement stand out was the detail Kim Ji-min chose to include. She explained that before starting IVF, she spent about two months focusing on her health at the guidance of her medical team, a period she described as the first time she had truly taken care of her own body. The process prompted a moment of reflection: she wrote that it made her think, suddenly and with gratitude, about what it must have meant to her own mother to have wanted and waited for her.

The couple's baby, whose prenatal nickname is "Durubi," arrived on the first IVF attempt. Kim Ji-min credited her husband's steady encouragement throughout: she described him as someone who kept telling her not to push too hard or feel rushed. Kim Joon-ho had hinted at this shared hope publicly as recently as June, when he appeared on the variety program Kkeutkkaji Ganda! Dokbak Tour (E Channel / Channel S) and named his wish as Kim Ji-min's health and the hope that a baby announcement would come true.

Kim Ji-min said she had kept the pregnancy secret longer than usual, noting that discretion does not come naturally to her, and that she waited until passing the 12-week mark before sharing the news. "Now that I'm past the stable period, I can finally say it, and tonight I'll sleep soundly," she wrote.

The two met as KBS comedy program colleagues, went public with their relationship in April 2022, and married three years later. Kim Joon-ho currently appears on the SBS variety show My Ugly Duckling and will serve as executive committee chair of the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival next month.
