Kim did not hold back when describing how the exposure has affected her day-to-day life. "The number one thing I need in a home is safety and security," she said. "I'm genuinely scared every time I walk through my front door. Please, someone help me. Even the parking structure matters."

Son's advice was grounded. Rather than building a wishlist from scratch, he told her to start by deciding what she could give up. "When you figure out what you're willing to let go of, your priorities sort themselves out naturally," he said.
