Confident and Evolving: Stray Kids Drop Anticipated Mini-Album 'THIS & THAT'

Stray Kids unveiled their latest mini-album THIS & THAT at a press event on August 6th, 2026, held at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. As the release date approaches, excitement is palpable among fans, with the album due out on August 7th.

Leader Bang Chan expressed, "We are thrilled to present an evolved version of Stray Kids with this album. We are still hungry for more, and that sentiment will continue to drive us forward." The group's bold approach is reflected in their choice to experiment with various musical styles, which has become a trademark of their identity since debuting nine years ago. "Like the album title suggests, we want everyone to witness a Stray Kids that can tackle 'this and that' effectively," he stated confidently.

Their last release was the mini-album DO IT, which came out in November 2025, making THIS & THAT a much-anticipated follow-up. The new album, featuring the title track THIS & THAT, a pre-released song RUN IT, along with other tracks like After You and That Day, showcases their fearless attitude and confidence to explore new musical terrain.

Changbin, who is part of the producing team 3RACHA (alongside Bang Chan and Han), described the title track as a "chill and relaxed representation of their sound that breaks away from the intense energy of their previous tracks. His enthusiasm about the song's catchy hook and choreography indicates a compelling piece that embodies Stray Kids' uniqueness.

The album reflects a vibrant spectrum of musical styles, akin to the diligent spirit of traditional Korean bubujang (traveling merchants) who connect producers and consumers through their crafts. Stray Kids sees themselves as K-pop's bubujang, creating music that strengthens their bond with fans, known as STAY.
