TWICE Breaks Records on 81 Dates, Now Puts the Seoul Finale on Vinyl

TWICE is pressing their career into wax. JYP Entertainment confirmed on the 15th that the group will release a special vinyl record titled THIS IS FOR World Tour Finale in Seoul - Live on October 16 at 1 p.m.

The LP captures the live performances from the three-night finale held July 10 to 12 at KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul. The stage ran in a 360-degree fully open seating format across all three nights, and the final night was broadcast globally via Beyond LIVE. What's on the record is a live-version track selection pulling from 11 years of TWICE's catalog, staged in what JYP called "a rich setlist that recreated the journey since debut."

What the THIS IS FOR tour actually did

The numbers behind this release make the vinyl feel less like merchandise and more like a monument. The THIS IS FOR world tour ran 81 shows across 44 regions spanning Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe, making it TWICE's sixth world tour and by far their largest.

Along the way, TWICE became the first overseas artist to perform at Japan's National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. They also became the first K-pop girl group to headline a solo concert at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium. The Japan leg alone drew 640,000 attendees. The North America run pulled 550,000, a record for any K-pop girl group on that continent.

That's the context for what's being preserved here. The Seoul finale was the last stop of a run that kept rewriting the record books, and JYP says fan interest in the vinyl has already been significant. October 16 is the date to watch.
