Eunha, SinB and Umji now have official accounts, and none of them say VIVIZ. Their new agency UNCORE launched the channels on the 26th under a handle, 'ehsbuj_official', built from the three members' names.

That's not a branding choice so much as a workaround. UNCORE said it has kept negotiating with the trio's former agency so the group could continue as VIVIZ, but "mutual disagreement over the proposed terms" has left the two sides without a final deal. The statement didn't say which terms are in dispute.

The agency asked fans for "interest and warm support" and promised the accounts will carry news and content on all three artists.

A name problem that predates the accounts

This isn't new. When UNCORE announced the signing on the 5th, it cited the same stalemate and said it was weighing a new team name as a way to restart activities. Three weeks on, the name is still unsettled.

The backstory is messy. The three debuted in 2015 as members of GFRIEND, left Source Music in 2021 when their contract ended, then moved to Big Planet Made Entertainment and relaunched as the trio VIVIZ in 2022. In February this year they notified Big Planet Made of contract termination, citing unpaid settlement money and failure to meet management support obligations. They then filed for an injunction to suspend the exclusive contract, and the court's approval was announced in June.

So they won the contract fight, and the name is still in limbo. Whether VIVIZ can return as VIVIZ remains the open question.

What's at stake for the brand

VIVIZ debuted with the mini-album Beam Of Prism and its title track BOP BOP! in 2022, followed by PULL UP and MANIAC. Last July came their first full-length album, led by La La Love Me and including a first solo track for each member. Three years of identity sits inside that name, which is likely why UNCORE is still trying to keep it before reaching for a new one.

UNCORE has teased activity but offered no dates. For now, the initials will have to do.
