Actress Baek Jin-hee is getting married. Her agency, Management AM9, confirmed on the 7th that the 36-year-old will wed a Canadian-based partner in a private ceremony on January 23, 2027, at a Seoul hotel, with the guest list limited to close family.

The couple's story began during Baek's language study trip to Canada last year, where she met her future husband, an older working professional who resides there. What started as a connection abroad turned into a long-distance relationship between Seoul and Canada, and the two ultimately decided to make it official. A source close to the couple described the months apart as physically exhausting but said the emotional bond the two built carried them through, adding that both found a sense of stability in each other that led them to the decision to marry.

After the wedding, Baek Jin-hee plans to split her time between Seoul and Canada. The arrangement won't slow her professional life down: she intends to keep acting and to continue uploading content to her personal YouTube channel, Jini Is Back, which she launched recently.

From Hi Kick to Judge Lee Han-young

Baek Jin-hee debuted in the 2008 film Missing Person and became widely recognized through the 2011 MBC sitcom High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged. Over the years she built a varied filmography that includes Gold, Appear!, Empress Ki, Pride and Prejudice, My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, Let's Eat 3, Missing Nine, and most recently Judge Lee Han-young, an MBC drama that aired earlier this year in which she played a passionate, action-oriented reporter driven by a strong sense of justice.

She signed with Management AM9 in June of last year. With a wedding on the horizon and her YouTube presence still growing, 2027 is shaping up to be a significant new chapter for her on multiple fronts.
