3 CORTIS Members Wrote Credits Into TXT's Angel Bite and Theqoo Is Not Having It
Martin, Juhoon and Seonghyeon of CORTIS are credited on Angel Bite, the title track of TXT's PERFECT STORM. Some theqoo users aren't happy about it.

Three CORTIS members, Martin, Juhoon and Seonghyeon, are credited on Angel Bite, the title track of TXT's mini album PERFECT STORM. Some theqoo users read that as a company strategy rather than a creative coincidence.
The credit was spotted and shared on X on October 23, a day before the tracklist went official. On the 24th, TXT (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai) posted the full tracklist on the team's official SNS.

What the tracklist says
PERFECT STORM is TXT's ninth mini album and comes out November 16 at 6 p.m. KST. It has six songs: Angel Bite, the title track, plus Storm is..., Higher Love, Sweetest Escape, Touch the Sky and Hate It or Love It.
Angel Bite is described as a TXT-style love song. It sketches a shabby, far-from-pretty youth, and a narrator who still wants to stay with "you." It faces the pain and deprivation of an unremarkable reality with some self-mockery, but refuses to let go of the other person.
There are two unit tracks as well. Yeonjun, Taehyun and Huening Kai sing Sweetest Escape, a confession about being a sweet refuge for someone who sometimes wants to disappear. Soobin and Beomgyu pair up on Touch the Sky, which compares the desire for success to a sky-like "you."
The fan angle
The theqoo thread isn't really about the song. It's about who gets the title slot, and what that does to how each group is positioned. The commenters also pull in Bang Sihyuk, HYBE's founder, as part of the same pattern. HYBE's label BIGHIT MUSIC handles TXT. The credits themselves are confirmed, but the strategy theories below are fan opinion, not anything the company has said.
What theqoo users said
- 1
This is going to make TXT fans hate CORTIS fans.
- 2
Honestly, I just feel bad for the fans.
- 3
Once you slap a "creator" label on a group, it either makes them or breaks them.
- 4
Bang Sihyuk is in on this too, lol.
- 5
They're clearly desperate to sell CORTIS as a "self-producing" group, and now TXT gets turned into a "sunbae" group to prop that up.
- 6
Why do we keep letting "hoobaes" produce title songs?
- 7
They have zero understanding of how fandoms work.
- 8
That company has so many producers, so why do they always insist on hoobaes making the title tracks?
- 9
Other idols get to write the title song while the actual members are pushed into writing the b-sides. Is that really okay?
- 10
It's hilarious how obvious they are about pushing who they want, and seeing Bang Sihyuk's name there is just as funny.
