Jung Woong-in's Daughter Soyun Deletes Instagram to Focus on University Exams
Soyun, the teenage daughter of actor Jung Woong-in, has announced she is deactivating her Instagram account to concentrate on university entrance preparations. The 15-year-old, who gained recent attention as a NewJeans Haerin lookalike, left a warm farewell message for her followers before going offline.

Soyun, the second daughter of Korean actor Jung Woong-in, announced on her personal Instagram account on the 4th that she is stepping away from the platform to focus on her studies. "I think the time has come for me to delete my Instagram," she wrote, in a post that quickly circulated among fans.
She explained the decision plainly: keeping up with Instagram while trying to study was proving harder than expected. She had made a resolution to work toward getting into a good university, and the app was not helping. The announcement came with genuine warmth rather than any sense of drama. She thanked everyone who had supported her and added, with characteristic lightness, that she would still be somewhere in Seoul and invited anyone who spotted her to say hello.
Soyun was born in 2009 and first became known to Korean audiences as a child, appearing alongside her father on the MBC variety program Dad! Where Are We Going? The show, which followed celebrity fathers on trips with their young children, was one of the most-watched variety programs of its era, and Soyun was a standout presence on it.
More recently, she appeared on the ENA variety show My Child's Secret Life, where viewers noted a striking resemblance to NewJeans member Haerin. The comparison spread quickly online and brought a new wave of attention to her social media presence.
She is currently enrolled in the fine arts department at Seoul Arts High School and is preparing for the competitive fine arts university entrance process, which in Korea typically demands intensive preparation in the months leading up to applications. Closing her Instagram is, by that measure, a practical call.
For fans who have followed her since the Dad! Where Are We Going? days, the post reads less like a goodbye and more like a check-in from someone who has quietly grown up.
