Jungkook's 2020 SoundCloud Freebie Just Hit 500 Million Spotify Streams

Jungkook keeps adding to a streaming record that is starting to look genuinely difficult to match. Big Hit Music confirmed on the 8th that Still With You, a song Jungkook wrote himself, has crossed 500 million streams on Spotify, making it the sixth track in his solo catalog to reach that number.

What makes the milestone a little more striking is where Still With You came from. Jungkook uploaded it to SoundCloud in June 2020, offering it as a free gift to fans in the lead-up to BTS's seventh anniversary. It was a quiet, personal gesture rather than a promotional rollout, which is probably why it landed so warmly. The track got an official release in July 2023, and it has been climbing steadily since.

A catalog built on real depth

Musically, Still With You sits in a gentler corner of Jungkook's discography. The opening leans on a hazy sound of rain and a melancholy jazz-inflected melody before his softer vocal register takes over, creating something that feels more like late-night company than a pop statement. It is a different register from his bigger singles, which makes the 500 million figure feel less like chart momentum and more like genuine affection from listeners who keep returning to it.

Still With You charted on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) at No. 33 and reached No. 62 on the Billboard Global 200 after its 2023 official release. It also topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 83 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, and France.

BTS back on the road

The news arrives while BTS is mid-tour. The group is currently running their new world tour, ARIRANG, and is set to kick off the South American leg in Bogotá, Colombia on October 2 and 3 (local time). The North American run of the tour sold out all 31 shows, drawing around 1.92 million fans. Still With You crossing 500 million streams in the middle of that momentum feels like a reminder that the quieter parts of Jungkook's catalog have their own devoted audience, one that has been there since a rainy SoundCloud upload six years ago.
