MAMAMOO Cancels Jakarta World Tour Date as Volcanic Eruption Disrupts Indonesia
MAMAMOO's September 19 Jakarta concert has been cancelled due to ongoing safety concerns following a volcanic eruption in Indonesia. T.O.P from BIGBANG had already scrapped his Jakarta event the same day.

MAMAMOO will no longer perform in Jakarta this month, with their label RBW announcing on the 11th that the group's upcoming MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR '4WARD' in JAKARTA show, scheduled for the 19th, has been called off due to safety concerns tied to recent volcanic activity in Indonesia.
In a statement posted to social media, RBW cited "unpredictable conditions" stemming from the eruption, including reinforced local safety and security measures. "Considering the safety of the artists and audience as our top priority, we have decided to cancel the concert after consulting with the local promoter," the agency said.
What triggered the cancellations
The Anak Krakatau volcano, located in the strait between Java and Sumatra, erupted on the 4th, sending lava flows and a plume of volcanic ash across the region. The fallout was significant enough to force the closure of eight major Indonesian airports, with ash spreading as far as the greater Jakarta area.
MMAMOO are not the only act affected. T.O.P, formerly of BIGBANG, had already announced the cancellation of his TOP FREE-STUDIO 2026 Jakarta event, which had also been set for the 19th, citing local conditions. Two major acts losing the same date in the same city to the same eruption underscores how broadly the volcanic disruption has rippled through the region's entertainment calendar.
No rescheduled date for the Jakarta show has been announced. Ticketing and refund details are expected to follow from the local promoter.
