Actor Ji Ye-eun is set to share the full story of her upcoming marriage on the September 13 episode of SBS's Running Man, going public with details she has not disclosed anywhere else. The episode fits a familiar pattern for the long-running variety show: a cast member's major life event becomes the occasion for both genuine celebration and cheerful interrogation by the rest of the group.

Ji Ye-eun announced her engagement during a recent recording session, catching her fellow cast members off guard. Their response, as shown in preview materials, was a surprise party complete with balloons and cake, what the production team is calling a "Running Man-style wedding ceremony." Ji Ye-eun, who typically brings a high-energy, unfiltered comedic presence to the show, reportedly spent much of the celebration visibly flustered, which gave her castmates ample material for teasing.

What she's revealing

The episode will cover the engagement from the beginning: who proposed, how it happened, and the moment both sets of parents met the prospective couple for the first time. Cast members followed up with a mix of practical advice and pointed questions, keeping the tone characteristic of the show.

Offstage, Ji Ye-eun's agency CP Entertainment confirmed earlier this month that she and choreographer Bata, both born in 1994, grew close through shared faith and common interests. The two were church friends before becoming a couple, and their relationship became public in April. They are scheduled to marry on December 12, which also happens to be Bata's birthday.

The rest of the episode

ATEEZ member San and actor Han Ji-eun also appear as guests in the same broadcast. The cast divides into three teams for a race called "My Lord, There Is an Outsider Among Us": one led by San, one by cast member HaHa, and one by Yang Se-chan. Running Man airs at 4:50 p.m. on September 13.
