Actress Shin Ji-won attended the VIP screening and stage greeting for the comedy film Karlovy Vary at Megabox COEX in Seoul on August 26, wearing a deep burgundy ribbed-knit long dress that became the most-discussed detail of the evening before the film had even screened.

The dress was body-hugging throughout, with a deep cross V-neck and a mermaid-cut silhouette that sat close against the waist and hips. Under the bright stage lighting, the combined effect of the stretch fabric and the overhead rigging drew attention to the lower abdomen area in a way that circulated quickly through social media and online communities once video from the event spread.

Most of the online reaction directed its frustration at the stylist rather than Shin herself. The actress behind the outfit

Shin Ji-won debuted in 2016 under the stage name Cho Hyun as a member of Berry Good.
