Yang Hong-won's Accuser Gives Interview Days After a Wedding and 2 Competing Stories

The man who accused rapper Yang Hong-won of an affair has said himself that he went public after Yang refused to lend him 300,000 won. Now he is sitting down for an interview anyway.

Gray News announced the sit-down on its official Instagram on the 29th, saying it would air that night on its official YouTube channel. The outlet framed it as an attempt to get at the substance of the case: "the allegations, the controversy, and what hasn't come out yet." Its teaser ended on a question: "What actually happened that day?"

What the accuser claimed

The accuser, identified only as A, alleged on the 23rd that Yang went drinking with another woman and then went to a motel with her. A also posted the woman's face and personal details, which set off its own backlash.

Then came the admission about the money. A said he had asked Yang for 300,000 won, was turned down, and made the allegation afterward. That is a hard detail to square with a clean whistleblower story.

On the 28th, A posted on his Instagram story that he was deleting the account and told followers to remove him ("Plz"). A day later, a face-on interview was announced. The timing is messy.

What Yang's agency says

Yang's agency does not deny the motel visit. It disputes the circumstances. According to the agency, A told Yang to go to a motel of A's choosing. Yang, it says, was heavily intoxicated and was looking for somewhere to sleep, and the woman, who had nowhere to go, went along out of necessity.

The agency adds that Yang fell asleep as soon as he entered the room. It says the woman tried to wake him, asked A for help, and then left with A.

The allegations landed days after Yang's wedding. He married model-turned-bride Won Hyun-joo at a private ceremony in Seoul on the 18th. The couple have a daughter born in 2024.

None of the claims on either side has been independently verified. The interview may add A's version of events, but it will not settle them.
