Han Seok-jun Says Goodbye to 'Ppeurehan 19' After 10 Years, and He's Grateful for One Unexpected Reason

Han Seok-jun took to social media on July 28 to say goodbye to Ppeurehan 19, the tvN SHOW variety program that wrapped its 10-year run the night before with episode 503. What he wanted fans to know most was not just that the show was ending, but how the team chose to handle it.

"I'm genuinely grateful that the production staff told us we were finishing here a full month and a half in advance," he wrote. "Because of that, I was able to spend that time looking back on all kinds of memories while I waited for the final episode."

That kind of notice is far from standard in Korean broadcast television, where cancellations can land with little warning. For Han Seok-jun, it turned what could have been an abrupt goodbye into something closer to a proper send-off.

The rest of his post struck a warm, reflective tone. He wrote that the first day of filming still felt vivid to him, and that when he started he had no idea he would still be standing there a decade later. "After going freelance, I was simply grateful to find a program that felt like a steady paycheck," he noted. Over the years, introducing new topics every week became something more personal than just work: "laughing, being surprised, nodding along at things we hadn't known about, that time was not a job for me, it was a part of my life."

He was direct about his sadness, too. "I'm going to miss it. I really will."

Co-host Oh Sang-jin also posted a farewell on the same day, sharing a photo from the set alongside a simple message: "10 years. Thank you for everything."

Ppeurehan 19 premiered on tvN in May 2016 before moving to the cable sister channel tvN SHOW, where it continued until its run ended. The final episode was themed around global shopping recommendations and travel gift ideas, with hosts Jeon Hyun-moo, Oh Sang-jin, and Han Seok-jun introducing popular items from countries around the world. The production team also prepared special gifts for each of the three MCs to mark the occasion.

Han Seok-jun closed his post with a line that felt less like a formal goodbye and more like a quiet promise: "The program is putting down its period, but I believe the stories and laughter we shared here will live on somewhere in each of your everyday lives. I'll be back in another place, with another story. Take care of yourselves. And be happy."
