OMONAR

Actor Shin Se-kyung has reportedly purchased a unit in L'ARBRE 27, a high-end residential development in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, with plans to move in next year. The purchase would place her inside one of the most exclusive small-scale residential projects currently under construction in Seoul.

L'ARBRE 27 sits at 90-20 Samseong-dong in Gangnam-gu, built by Hyundai Engineering & Construction and comprising just 27 units across two buildings. Its pricing reflects that exclusivity: garden-house units start around 26 billion won, terrace-house units from roughly 14 billion won, and the sixth-floor C7 terrace type has been reported at 19.5 billion won. The two super-penthouse units, types P1 and P2, are understood to have been offered at around 40 billion won each.

The specific unit type Shin Se-kyung purchased and the exact price she paid have not been disclosed, and the reports have not been independently confirmed. The 40 billion won figure refers to the development's ceiling price, not necessarily her transaction.

The location and what surrounds it

Samseong-dong sits adjacent to Cheongdam-dong and within easy reach of COEX, Bongeunsa Temple, and the Han River. The broader Samseong Station area is also the site of a large-scale underground complex development along Yeongdong-daero, a long-running urban infrastructure project that has added to the area's long-term appeal for high-end residential buyers.

The development is a notable example of a shift in Seoul's luxury property market toward very small, bespoke projects rather than large apartment towers, with Hyundai E&C positioning L'ARBRE 27 as a branded residence aimed at buyers who might otherwise look at comparable properties in Cheongdam or Hannam.

Shin Se-kyung's recent work

Shin Se-kyung has had a strong run on screen recently. She appeared in director Ryoo Seung-wan's film Humint, released in February, playing Chae Seon-hwa, a North Korean restaurant worker. The role earned her the Best Supporting Actress award in the film category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards in May, one of the most prominent awards in Korean film and television.
