UNIS are moving fast. Just 15 days after dropping their remake single Haneultang Byeoltang (하늘땅 별땅), the eight-member group is back with a brand-new digital single, Milky Way, released on the 23rd at 6 p.m. KST across all major streaming platforms.

The quick turnaround is deliberate. Haneultang Byeoltang has been delivering what F&F Entertainment calls the group's career-best chart performance, entering Melon's daily chart at 951st and steadily climbing to 465th, which is a meaningful upward arc for a group building its mainstream foothold. The label's decision to follow it immediately with original material rather than letting the remake cycle wind down on its own suggests they want to hold the room while the lights are still on.

What Haneultang Byeoltang built

The remake itself was a smart entry point. Originally by the duo Bibi, the track carried a breezy, upbeat energy that UNIS reframed with Y2K sensibility and a contemporary K-pop production layer, keeping the familiarity of the source material while marking it as distinctly theirs. It landed on both domestic and global charts after release and extended its life through music show promotions, pulling in listeners beyond the core fandom.

The group's eight members (Jinhyunju, Nana, Jellydangka, Kotoko, Bangyunha, Elisia, Ohyuna, and Lim Seowon) also completed a 14-city Americas tour earlier this year and have been releasing Japan-original tracks steadily, so the fan base they're performing for with Milky Way is genuinely broader than it was a year ago.

Where Haneultang Byeoltang worked by leading with recognizability, Milky Way is positioned as the more direct expression of what UNIS actually sound like on their own terms.
